FlipSid3 win a three-map thriller over CSGL 2-1 (de_overpass 14-16, de_train 16-11, de_cbble 16-10) to advance to the upper bracket semi-finals of Acer Predator Masters Season 2 Finals.
To start off the Acer Predator Masters Season 2 Finals CSGL and FlipSid3 duked it out on de_overpass as the first map of their series. The Poles managed to get a 5-1 lead at the beginning thanks to winning the pistol round and the second gunround, which broke FlipSid3's economy.
A couple of rounds from Andrey "B1ad3" Gorodenskiy's side were quickly neglected by three on the back of Paweł "innocent" Mocek's 1-on-2, whose CSGL got up to a 8-3 lead on the Terrorist side. They couldn't keep up the pace though, as FlipSid3 started clawing their way back in, with Georgi "WorldEdit" Yaskin picking up a triple entry along the way.
CSGL ended up switching over to the defence with a one-round lead only in the end, which was soon improved to two after the second pistol round, where innocent found three headshots with the USP-S.
CSGL come back on de_overpass
FlipSid3 were able to reply with only deagles in their hands in the following round, after a couple of entries and a last-second plant, which also helped them take the lead for the first time, getting to 12-9 before CSGL replied.
It looked like FlipSid3 would be able to close it out when the scoreline said 14-10 in their favour, but the Polish duo Jacek "MINISE" Jeziak-Mikołaj "mouz" Karolewski shattered their dreams in the following few rounds.
Five rounds in a row saw CSGL take map point, which was when mouz was left in a 1-on-4 situation, but a smart play from him saw him scale it back to a 1-on-2 against two players on low HP, and close map one out after a retake on the A bombsite at 16-14.
CSGL continued to boost their pistol round record on de_train as well, starting off with a 4-2 lead. An agressive push from the B apartments in a forcebuy saw CSGL surprising FlipSid3 with kills in quick succession, although it was all for naught as Vladyslav "bondik" Nechyporchuk came out on top of a 1-on-2 with two Desert Eagle headshots.
FlipSid3 win map two and three to advance to upper semis
From there on it was more or less a FlipSid3 show, as the Polish side was unable to defend any of the attacks except for one until the end of the half, and the mostly-Ukrainian squad switched to the Counter-Terrorist side at a 9-6 lead.
Things were even at 9-9 after yet another pistol round win for CSGL, although once again F3 powered through all of their opponents' attempts despite many of them getting to close 2-on-2 situations, and took map point with six rounds in a row. CSGL managed to delay for a couple of rounds, but it was too little too late.
To start off the decider, de_cbble, bondik stepped up to the task with a 1-on-3, only for FlipSid3 to get destroyed in the following forcebuy from CSGL for 1-1. A few rounds went back and forth for 3-2, before CSGL took it to 6-2 with great individual play from mouz, Michał "MICHU" Müller and innocent.
FlipSid3 switched things up with a quick B, surprising CSGL completely, and a 1-on-2 from B1ad3 helped the team lower the deficit to 6-5. mouz and MICHU then combined for an ace on the A bombsite, and up until the very last round there was not much FlipSid3 could have done.
Contrary to the previous standard FlipSid3 won the second pistol round to even it out at 9-9. The Polish side couldn't get any entries into sites though, and most of the following rounds were quite one-sided. A ten-round streak overall meant FlipSid3 took match point at 15-9. The one round CSGL won at the end wasn't without casualties, all of their players died in the process, and their buy was not enough to try and come back and take the game to overtime.
